FAQ’s

Q: What do I wear?

A: Anything form fitting and in the style of Cherry Bombs: black, strappy, cut offs, high-heel boots or regular dance heels, briefs or booty shorts, crop tops, band tees – let your own personal style come through!

Q: What will auditions be like?

A: Once you arrive, you’ll check in and be assigned a number before entering the studio. You will be taken through a warm up before learning choreography (approximately 8 – 8 counts). You will then be broken into groups of 2 or 4 (depending on how many are in attendance) to perform the choreography just learned. Except a section of your audition to include freestyle dance. Once everyone has performed, everyone is dismissed except for those demonstrating their specialty acts (not applicable to aerial).

Q: I have a specialty skill (non-aerial) that I would like to demonstrate at auditions. What do I need to expect?

A: Please bring all necessary props and tools to demo your specialty skill. Fire artists – you will NOT light up, but instead demo unlit.

Q: I am an aerialist and want to show my skills. How do I do that?

A: Please submit a link to an uncut, non-edited video of you working in the air for at least 5 minutes straight.

Q: Can I bring anyone with me to auditions?

A: No, unfortunately these auditions are closed to the public.

Q: When will we know who makes it?
A: If you have been selected for an interview, you will receive a call from Alicia Taylor no later than December 11th. Interviews will be conducted the week of December 12th, and will be flexible to make sure it works with your schedule.  Interview location will be at our Cherry Bombs HQ, and will take approximately 20 minutes.

Q: Are there any requirements to being a member of Cherry Bombs?

A: To be a member of Cherry Bombs, you must be at least 18 years old, reside in the Las Vegas/Greater Las Vegas Area, and have reliable transportation or means to get to rehearsals.

Q: When are rehearsals?

A: Cherry Bombs rehearse every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 5pm – 8pm at Cherry Bombs HQ. If there are no shows on the schedule, there are no rehearsals, and you are not expected to come unless you are booked for an upcoming performance.

Q: Do I have to be available to tour?

A: Absolutely not. We welcome performers that have all availabilities, even if that means local shows only.

Q: Do I have to have dance experience?

A: No. Dance experience is a plus, but Alicia will work with those that show potential and a desire to increase their skillset.

Q: What do I need to bring to auditions?

A: Please bring a copy of your headshot (does not have to be professional), resume or list of experience with contact information, and Cherry Bombs Release Form. You will probably want a bottle of water and a light snack. No taping with your phones, please- and don’t forget to put them on silent!
